Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport
KAT was involved in the bulk early works section of Western Sydney Airport in a supervisory role looking after multiple plant and staff directly employed by LendLease. Under guidance of one of the industries best leaders, the knowledge between both parties challenged and changed the projects construction methodology enhancing production and cutting weeks if not months off the projects delivery.
CPB Contractors, with its joint venture partner, was awarded an earthworks project for the construction of Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport.
Bulk earthworks include overall topographical and drainage design for the entire airport precinct; detailed design and construction of earthworks and drainage for the area.
This is the second project awarded by Western Sydney Airport to the joint venture, following award of an early earthworks package in July 2018. It will generate revenue of approximately $323 million to CPB Contractors.
Work commenced in 2019 and is scheduled to be completed in 2022.
